In just her fourth career start she became a stakes winner. She had an extremely promising career ahead of her before being injured in her fifth start and never racing again. But, in her second career, as a broodmare, she got off to a hot start with her first foal selling for $220,000. Her second foal sold for $75,000 at auction, her third foal brought $170,000, and her fourth foal sold for $130,000 as a yearling. 

She also hails from an incredible female family. Equation has three stakes winning siblings, including Grade 3 winner Atticus Kristy. She also has three stakes producing sisters, including her sister Back to Basics who produced Grade 3 winner Calculator. All of that adds up to just an incredible amount of production under her first dam, and it gives her offspring the kind of catalog page that will catch the eye of any and every potential buyer.

In 2025 we are sending Equation to the first year stallion – Heartland. We chose Heartland because we think he offers tremendous value at his $10,000 stud fee.
